Maintenance Instructions: Vacuum the detector once a month with the brush attachement to remove accumulated dust. PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION Background: Air and CO enters into the detector at the bottom vent and circulates through the sensing chamber (metal dioxide sensor), existing through the top vent.
